This early involvement allowed key design decisions to account for site-specific requirements, production targets and long-term operational objectives.

MineFill was engaged from the early consulting and study stages to help define the optimal backfill strategy and plant configuration for the Tomingley operation.
Key design decisions needed to account for site-specific requirements, production targets, filtration strategy, paste density, underground distribution and long-term operational objectives.
MineFill delivered a turnkey paste plant solution incorporating an 11 km overland tailings pipeline, deslime cyclones, a 109 m² vacuum belt filter and an integrated paste mixer-hopper.
The system was designed to deliver paste underground at throughput rates of 65–85 m³/h via gravity, with a process performance guarantee to provide confidence in long-term operational performance.
The completed Tomingley Paste System demonstrates MineFill’s ability to take a project from early study involvement through to complete EPC delivery. Through process evaluation, mass balance optimisation and practical engineering, MineFill delivered a reliable paste plant designed to improve safety, commissioning efficiency, plant availability and underground backfill performance.
