In 2022/23, MineFill completed a paste backfill infrastructure study for the George Fisher mine, assessing the requirements for upgrades to the existing backfill facilities.
The study was delivered in two phases. The initial review identified recommended upgrades to both the Blob and South Paste plants, providing the basis for further development.
The second phase progressed to detailed design for significant upgrades to the Blob paste plant, together with the development of an entirely new South Paste plant.
